There are few painters interested in the military theme. At most, we must mention the forty professionals  approved by the French Department of Defense under the name "of the (French) Army", 'of the (French) Navy" or "the (French) Air Forces and Space". Like counterparts, TOFFART's artistic production touches on this vast subject leaving no doubt about the interest it has in it since his children's drawings.  However, his position as a painter associated with the French Army allowed him to freely extend his choices to other periods of history and foreign Army forces that aroused his interest more.
